As the new academic year approaches, a new group of leaders take over to help students and teachers in planning events and making it easier for the student body to have some fun during their tedious academic schedule. The Student Council or StuCo for short, helps in managing events, supporting teachers, and coming up with new innovative ideas to add some fun into the lives of both students and teachers.
This school year 2024-2025, Ansh Singh Rawat of Grade 11 IB is elected as the StuCo President, while Kenzie Lukmanul Hakim of Grade 10S sits on the Vice President position after the virtual StuCo Election held last August 13. After the election, a turn-over ceremony took place.
During this event, the outgoing President Charlie Zhang of 12 AL and outgoing Vice President Galbina Zahra Mohamad of 12 IB pass on their roles to Ansh and Kenzie, as well as presenting the other members of this school year’s Student Council.
When asked about what he felt after winning the election, Kenzie remarked, “After the election, or maybe even journey, I felt exhilarated - It was a sort of relief that I've never felt all my life.”
He said that with only limited time left, they (Ansh and Kenzie) still have many plans that they want to accomplish.
“I believe that this school still has much more to be implemented," Kenzie added.
