From September 6 to 11, 2024, our amazing scholars from Sampoerna Academy L’Avenue took part in the WSC Bangkok Global Round where students created memories and gained valuable knowledge. Let’s take a glimpse into their journey.
Day 1
Students participated in their very first activity, the scavenger hunt—an engaging challenge where they interacted with other scholars by joining mixed groups to complete various tasks. This activity helped foster stronger bonds among the students.
Day 2
The second day was filled with academic activities. It began with the Scholars Challenge, where students had one hour to answer 120 multiple-choice questions. This was followed by collaborative writing, in which teams of three wrote on different topics within a specific timeframe. The final activity of the day was a debate, where teams of three competed against each other. After receiving the motion from the judge, teams had 15 minutes to prepare. At the end of each debate, the judge selected the winner, and both teams exchanged constructive feedback.
Day 3
After a day off, students participated in the Scholars' Bowl, a competition where teams raced against the clock to answer questions. As the event drew to a close, students attended the closing ceremony, where they received their awards. The journey ended on a high note with the Scholars Ball, a night of dancing and fun that wrapped up this unforgettable experience.
